Viktoria Jansesberger

Viktoria Jansesberger is a Doctoral Researcher at the Cluster of Excellence "The Politics of Inequality" at the University of Konstanz. Furthermore, she is employed at the third-party funded project “Investigating Climate Justice Preferences for Financing Instruments for Loss and Damage” at the University of Salzburg. Prior to her doctoral studies, she worked from March 2019 to September 2020 as research assistant for the Horizon 2020 project “Populism and Civic Engagement” (PaCE) and was also engaged in the project “Making Tomorrow’s Leaders: Youth Movements of Right Wing Populist Parties”. She completed both her bachelor and master studies in political science at the University of Salzburg. In her doctoral thesis she studies the effects of extreme weather events on protest and repression dynamics in developing countries. Her research interests also encompass political participation, inequality, and populism.
