I am interested in real-time multi-animal pose estimation and tracking in the wild. Since it is labour intensive and not trivial to obtain annotated animal data, I investigate in unsupervised methods that do not require annotated data. I also investigate in a domain shift from synthetic to real. More precisely, I am interested in models that can be trained on synthetic data and transferred to real-world applications.

My research focuses on stress contagion in humans. To better understand this phenomenon, we first conducted a laboratory study with the assessment of different physiological stress markers. In the meantime, we are investigating stress contagion "in the wild" and have recently conducted a study with music orchestras.

I am a doctoral student advised by Iain Couzin at the Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior and CASCB (co-advised by Karl Friston at University College London). In my doctoral research, I am using the framework of predictive processing, a.k.a. “prediction error minimization” to model collective motion and information processing in animal groups. This work involves primarily numerical simulations and formal analysis.
