Collective behaviour in Konstanz is trans-disciplinary at its core. Our community is made up of researchers from several disciplines, such as biology, computer science, economics, psychology, maths, physics, and sociology, and from two institutions – the University of Konstanz and the Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior. What unites us is a drive to move beyond the boundaries of disciplines in order to collaborate on our shared interest: studying individuals in the context of whom they influence and are influenced by and harnessing tools to process, analyse, and visualize the resulting data.
