Collective behaviour in Konstanz is trans-disciplinary at its core. Our community is made up of researchers from seven disciplines—biology, computer science, economics, psychology, maths, physics, and sociology—and from two institutions—the University of Konstanz and the Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior. What unites us is a drive to move beyond the boundaries of disciplines in order to collaborate on our shared interest: studying individuals in the context of whom they influence and are influenced by and harnessing tools to process, analyse, and visualize the resulting data.
