Available Funding

The Fellowship is available for a duration of 2 to 6 months per selected Fellow during the academic year 2022/23. The earliest starting date is 01 September 2022, the latest end date 30 September 2023.

Remuneration will take the form of a monthly flat rate of 6,000 Euros to account for accommodation and living expenses, as well as a further monthly research allowance to finance conference travels and research assistants as well as other aspects of Senior Fellows’ research projects. Relocation expenses to and from Konstanz will be covered by the Cluster (some limitations apply).

Eligibility Criteria

Applications are open to researchers from outside the University of Konstanz with an established track record and international visibility, as well as a keen interest in the Cluster’s concepts and lines of research.

We are looking for scholars with an established track record in inequality research broadly defined, and in the fields directly related to the Cluster’s research agenda, though not necessarily in disciplines already represented at the Cluster. Senior Fellows will actively participate in Cluster activities.

Application Process

To apply, please submit the following documents:

  • The application form with the summary of project data is provided in the project package part of this Call.
  • A research proposal that contributes to the research agenda of the Cluster, investigating core aspects of the political dimension of inequality. It should not exceed four pages in length, and should also include the duration and the schedule of the project. Please describe work packages that might be relevant for the use of the research allowance at your disposal.
  • Curriculum vitae and a list of publications.

Selection Procedure

The Board will assess all applications and make a selection decision.
