The ever-widening gap between the rich and the poor, the rise of populists all over the world, the sharing of burdens in the fight against climate change, the injustices in the education system – whatever else current debates are about, they are always about inequality, too. All of these issues are so complex that science is still struggling with them.
This is where we and our Cluster of Excellence come in and investigate "The Politics of Inequality" – the political causes and consequences of inequality.
Student Assistants at the Managing Office of the Cluster “The Politics of Inequality”
up to 36h/month.
Student assistants can support the Managing Office at the Cluster in many ways. Reliable and detail-oriented work habits, software knowledge (MS Office), good communication skills and initiative are important for us. An affinity for technology, further software (such as Typo3 and image typical processing software) or English language skills will be useful. We are especially looking for assistants for:
- IT, tech support, and infrastructure
- Science communication and public relations
We offer an interesting, varied job with great proximity to research and the opportunity to gain experience in science management and science communication. The work in a young team and insights into the structure of a larger research network as well as the familiarization with typical fields of activity and working tools (e.g. software, content management systems, press relations, social media...) offer at the same time valuable qualifications for future stations in studies and career.
We are looking forward to receiving applications from interested and creative students including a current CV, a short letter of motivation, and a current Transcript of Records, summarized in a PDF. Applications can be handed in via e-mail to email@example.com under the heading "Bewerbung: Hilfskraft MO". If you have any questions, you can also contact us at the above email address.
