"Which are the next walls to fall in science and society?" That is the leading question of the Falling Walls Award. The jury reviewed more than 1.000 entries from 105 countries and decided that Iain Couzin, co-speaker of the Excellence Cluster “Centre for the Advanced Study of Collective Behaviour” at the University of Konstanz and Director of the Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior, is a ground-breaking researcher.
As a Falling Walls winner of the year 2022 Iain Couzin is hence shortlisted for the Science Breakthrough of the Year 2022. The Science Breakthroughs of the Year 2022 will be announced on Tuesday, 13 September.
